Project Overview

The team at POWER-LITE® is proud to have successfully completed the lighting project for the Charterhall – Aldi Freezer Storage Facility in Truganina, Victoria. This large commercial freezer storage facility, where temperatures reach as low as -25°C, required a highly efficient and durable lighting solution that could perform in extreme conditions. By utilising our cutting-edge POWER-LITE® Highbay Lights, we delivered a lighting system that not only met but exceeded performance expectations, ensuring both energy efficiency and superior illumination.

Products Used:

• POWER-LITE® High Efficiency LED Highbay Lights – 210 lumens/watt: Mounted at an impressive height of 13 metres using surface mount brackets, these highbay lights provided exceptional uniformity in both vertical and horizontal lighting. The smart sensors integrated into the fixtures ensured maximum energy efficiency by adjusting light levels as needed.

• Plug-and-Play Smart Sensors: Fitted into the highbay lights, these sensors optimise energy usage by detecting occupancy and automatically adjusting lighting levels.

Exceeding Expectations:

One of the highlights of this project was the lighting system’s ability to exceed the original design specifications. The lux levels surpassed the expected levels by 20%, ensuring enhanced visibility and safety throughout the facility. This improvement was particularly important for the large-scale operations of the freezer storage, where uniform and reliable lighting is essential.
